Dubai: Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Anum Sher Khan from Punjab, Pakistan, has won an international award at the prestigious World Police Summit for her outstanding performance in criminal investigation.
According to a spokesperson of the Punjab Police, ASP Anum Sher Khan was recognized for her exceptional work in the field of criminal investigation, earning global appreciation among nominees from 192 countries across various categories.
The World Police Summit is considered one of the most significant and professional platforms for global policing leadership. Each year, it highlights police officers worldwide who demonstrate excellence in innovation, leadership, and service development in their respective fields.
The spokesperson further revealed that following a rigorous scrutiny and interview process, two officers from the Punjab Police were shortlisted for awards. District Police Officer (DPO) Kasur, Muhammad Essa Khan, was awarded second place in the category of "Best Use of Artificial Intelligence in Policing."
Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, congratulated ASP Anum Sher Khan for bringing global recognition to Pakistan and the Punjab Police. He stated that such international accolades reflect the professionalism and capability of Pakistan’s police force. He also expressed confidence that officers like Anum Sher Khan would play a vital role in the future leadership of the police service.
